د همدې کرښو په کښیکاګلو یې لوستې شئ.

   عبدالاحد مومند په ١٩٥٩ ز کال د افغانستان د غزني ولايت په سرده کې نړۍ ته سترګې پرانيسې دي.  له لومړنيو زده کړو وروسته د کابل له پوليتخنيک انستيتوت څخه او بيا وروسته له هوايي پوهنتون څخه فارغ شو، نورې لوړې زده کړې یې په پخواني شوروي اتحاد کې بشپړې کړې دي.  لومړی افغان ستور مزلی و.  هغه په ١٩٨٨ ز کال کې د «مير» په فضايي هډه کې نهه ورځې تېرې کړې.  اوس د جرمني په هیواد کې په «اشتوتگارت» ښار کې ژوند تیروي .

   له ښاغلي مومندسره په دې سفر کې «ولاديمير لياخوف» او «ډاکتر واليري پولياخوف» ملګری وو چې د سويوز تی. ‌ام-٦  ډلې په نامه ياديږي.

   په فضا کې د اوسېدو پر مهال يې د خپل هیواد افغانستان انځورونه واخيستل او په اخترفيزيکي، ‌طبي او چاپېريال پېژندنې په آزمايښتونو کې يې ونډه واخيسته.  د «مير» له  فضايي هډې څخه يې د وخت د ولسمشر  ډاکټر نجيب الله سره په خپلې مورنۍ ژبې، يانې پښتو،  ټليفوني خبرې درلودې .   په دې توګه پښتو د دوو ستورو د واټن جوګه ژبه شوه.  په همدې ډول محترم عبدالاحد مومند د وخت د دولت لخوا د برید جنرالی په فوق العاده رُتبې او د افغانستان د جمهوریت د اتل په لقب ولمانځل شو.

Abdul Ahad Momand
The first Afghan Cosmonaut
 

Abdul Ahad Momand (b. January 1, 1959) was the first Afghan cosmonaut and spent nine days in space aboard the Mir space station in 1988. He currently lives in Stuttgart, Germany.

Along with Commander Vladimir Lyakhov and Dr. Valery Polyakov, Momand was part of the Soyuz TM-6 three-man crew, which launched at 04:23 GMT August 29, 1988.

During his brief time on the Mir, Momand took photographs of Afghanistan, participated in astrophysical, medical and biological experiments, spoke to Afghan president Dr. Najibullah and brewed Afghan tea for the crew.

The September 6 landing of Soyuz TM-5 was delayed because of mechanical complications on the Mir. Radio Moscow reassured listeners that Lyakhov and Momand were fine and in touch with Mission Control. A recording was played of them laughing. The British media jumped on the story and incorporated words like "marooned" and "lost in space" into their headlines. They even suggested (erroneously) that the cosmonauts had run out of food. With each passing orbit, the danger for the crew became more and more serious. A day later, the retro-fire was successful, and at 00:50 GMT Soyuz TM-5 landed near Dzhezkazgan. During touchdown there was no live radio coverage, only live television pictures of Mission Control.

Born in Sardah, Afghanistan, Momand graduated from the Polytechnical High School in Kabul and then the Air Force Academy. He served in the Afghan Air Force and later trained in the USSR as a pilot.
